Different charities have different needs, budgets, and scope for advertising. That's why for the 2012 event we have introduced a new way for charities to get involved with the Meadows Marathon.

Participating in the Meadows Marathon is a great way to not only raise money, but raise awareness of your charity in the local (and especially the student) community. Last year we raised £35k (that we know of) for 62 charities. £14k of that went to the six Charity Partners we featured on our website.

In recognition of this fact, we have decided to open up affiliation with Meadows Marathon to anyone. You can get your logo (and some accompanying information) on our front page, on our charity page, and on our charity information page. You can have banners up on the railings on the day. You can have a stall in Potterow to promote yourselves (spaces are limited to five). We have a deal with a local printing company so you can buy posters and flyers for the event cheaply (we'll even make them for you). All we ask is that your fundraisers use our Virgin Money Giving account so we know how much we raised. We'll collect the Gift Aid for you too, and send the money by mid-May.

Even better, to reward those charities that spread the word about Meadows Marathon, we will add a £5 donation per runner for each charity that has at least 10 runners raising money through our Virgin Money Giving page. In other words, if we have 10 runners fundraising for you on our books (we don't count runners that use non-MM fundraising) then on top of all the money they raise, we'll give you £50! 11 runners gets you £55 etc etc.
